Jaime Baião, An Extraordinary Painter
Jaime Baião is a very talented painter, a painter whose work is out of the ordinary. It takes some time to understand what he does, art and classical beauty are not the same after all even if they often overlap. Even if our styles are often very different, he is one of my main sources of inspiration: forms, colours, ways of thinking, originality… this is a very modern Brazilian painter, whose production is certainly complex and takes some time to understand.
Art, specially modern art, is seldom simple.
I suggest that you study two of his paintings that truly moved and inspired me:
Two complex, meaningful paintings indeed.
Jaime Baião, a constant source of inspiration. When I create something really strange, ask yourself…

My dear Roger. I am trilled and honored with your words about me, certainly much more than I deserve. But let tell you something: every week I come to your blog to have my photografy class ... learning to see photografically : volumes, weights, shapes, colors, balances... and technical analysis on cameras. As an amateur, I bought an Panasonic DMC FZ200, and I am very excited and learning a lot. Inicial results are amazing for a beginner . Don't forget that you are responsable for this enthusiasm and I am grateful for your lessons. However there is a request for you to continue your brilliant analysis about my work with inks and brushes that really helps me. A very good brain with sensitivity is not easy to find this days. A very big hug to you and your family. Good health and creativity !
RépondreEffacer@willy : But you are right, my friend! You are right! We are so different, yet his work is so important for me. I could not explain if I WISHED…
RépondreEffacer@Hélène : Ah ! Oui, celle-là… :-)
RépondreEffacer@fus : He is good, isn't he? Thanks for passing by, my friend, it's always appreciated.
RépondreEffacer@Tony: You know, Tony, there is so much talent in latin countries, whether Spanish of Portuguese. And that includes Spain, Portugal, and the whole of South America! That's why I follow so many people from those parts of the world.
RépondreEffacer@Inês: He is good, isn't he? : -)
RépondreEffacerThanks for passing by, dear Inês!
@Jaime: Well, thanks for the (unmerited) praise, dear Jaime. I'm glad to hear that I could be of any help. I did notice on facebook, of course, that you had begun to show some pretty good photographs.
RépondreEffacerNow I will say something terrible: it's not so much a matter of having a good brain or not. It's more about being ready to make an effort to put it to work.
Now it's true that I love to put my mind to work on your painting, telling myself, but what does he mean this time, what is it that I don't understand! :-)
Two scientific minds, I suppose.
Here I am again. If someone with a regular brain put it to work, probably we have a regular completion.
RépondreEffacerBut, you put your good and sensitive brain to work... we are gonna have an analysis one level above, with much more insight, for sure!
That's why here I am learning with your work and your analysis and sensitivity about mine.
Two scientific minds, two sensitive minds, two organized and chaotic minds.. That's great!
A big hug!
