A Country Without Moorings
Guns Are For Killing
Give each man a Gun, he must protect himself
Give each man an assault weapon, his neighbours are so dangerous
Don't ask if he has defective vision, he can't read the Constitution
Don't ask if he has visions, he quite possibly has
I go to school with my Gun, students are so dangerous
I go to Church with my Gun, priests are so dangerous
I go to the pub with my Gun, barmen are so dangerous
I want to walk in the fields
Please, please tell the farmers
Not to put a Gun
Under my nose
Broken Dreams - I write a new version of this poem every two or three years, usually in the middle of the night, after yet another catastrophic American killing spree. I add it here in plain text so you can share it if you want.
